25 Nov Mental Health Crisis Intervention Should Focus on De-escalation, Remove Police to the Extent Possible
- The City of Toronto is looking at reforming policing in the City. While the City has given itself a narrow mandate, the work is still important. Significantly, City Council is examining how we should respond to mental health crises, whether and how the police should be involved, and what alternative models will be more effective and less harmful. All IN made a written submission to the City.
